Tatler features interview with chief executive of Asia, Monica Wong

3 March 2005

Lifestyle magazine Hong Kong Tatler has featured an interview with HSBC Private Bank’s chief executive of Asia, Monica Wong, in which it celebrated HSBC Private Bank’s success in the Asia region in this year’s Euromoney Private Banking Awards.

The article, which appeared in a special private banking supplement to the March issue, described HSBC Private Bank’s achievements in the awards as a “bravura performance” and a reflection of its “customer-orientated approach”.

Also noted was HSBC Private Bank’s readiness to help clients whose needs cannot be met by traditional products, the example given being business succession planning. The bank's Family Office services were cited as having the ability to provide total wealth management solutions to clients with an extensive range of requirements.

According to Tatler, “It is service that allows the Bank to set its foundation for a long-term relationship with its client base. As pricing and products like investments become more standardised throughout the industry, service is becoming the key differentiating factor - and more often than not, the larger players, with a global reach and developed infrastructures that can survive various market cycles, are in the best position to provide it".
