HSBC Private Bank Scotland official launch

23 May 2008

HSBC Private Bank opened its new Scottish office with a party at Lennoxlove House in East Lothian with a large section of the Scottish business and political elite in attendance including Jim Mather MSP. Group Private Banking CEO Chris Meares and UK CEO Declan Sheehan were also there to hear Miles Hilton-Barber, the blind climber of Kilimanjaro, give an inspiring speech on the power of determination and a willingness to consider any challenge.

Joss Mitchell, Director, who is spearheading HSBC Private Bank's new Scottish presence, picked up on this theme. "HSBC has its roots in Scotland and we are now here to provide the sort of global perspective that wealthy clients expect in their financial advisors. We have always operated in Scotland but now we are physically closer and able to provide the personal access which is vital in private banking."
