Chris Meares, Chief Executive of HSBC Private Bank has been awarded the prestigious ‘Outstanding Global Private Banker’ award at the Private Banker International Wealth Management Summit 2008 in Singapore.

Ownership of HSBC Private Bank (Luxembourg) SA was formally transferred to HSBC Private Bank (Suisse) SA on 5 September 2008, recognising the existing managerial reporting lines of the Luxembourg entity to the Swiss Private Banking operation.

HSBC Private Bank opened its new Scottish office with a party at Lennoxlove House in East Lothian with a large section of the Scottish business and political elite in attendance including Jim Mather MSP.

Group CEO Michael Geoghegan welcomed 320 private banking prospects, clients and intermediaries to the launch party for our new office in Ireland.
