"I was keen to experience working in different countries, cultures and languages, and I felt HSBC was best placed to make this dream a reality."

"Our team is responsible for the clear and coherent dissemination of the private bank's investment view to the clients, relationship managers and product specialists alike."

"Given the nature of private banking, our clients are generally large, complex and multi-jurisdictional by nature."

"I was attracted to HSBC during the milkround process at university because it had a well-established, well-regarded, industry-leading graduate programme. Although the HSBC Group had a fantastic UK presence and a well-known advertising campaign, I was particularly attracted by the support of “the world's local bank”. I was keen to experience working in different countries, cultures and languages, and I felt HSBC was best placed to make this dream a reality.

"I now work in the Investment Strategy Team within the private bank in London. Our team is responsible for the clear and coherent dissemination of the private bank's investment view to the clients, relationship managers and product specialists alike. We're also involved in the proposal process in terms of strategy asset allocation and tactical overlays. Given the nature of private banking, our clients are generally large, complex and multi-jurisdictional by nature. This means that we work globally with other HSBC Private Bank and Group offices across the world.

"A typical day does not exist in my job! This week I have been involved in the Global Investment Committee and its subsequent output, a document describing the private bank view. This is sent with other publications generated by our desk to many clients. I have also attended client meetings to discuss investment strategies, in light of risk tolerance, liquidity requirements and investment restrictions. I also meet with fund managers to keep up-to-date with their investments."
